Annabelles Natural Ice Cream in Portsmoutd

Tucked down an alley just off the main drag in downtown Portsmouth, Annabelle’s award-winning natural ice cream has been turning heads and making smiles since Lewis Palosky cranked up his churns in 1982. Witty marquees accent the small shop, and generous tasting spoonfuls give Annabelle’s a distinctively quirky vibe that perfectly suits Portsmouth’s eclectic, seacoast character.

Wonderful ice cream shop! The staff was really helpful - they let me sample a flavor before ordering and had great suggestions. They have many traditional and unique flavors...something to please everyone. Try the raspberry chocolate chip - it was perfection. Also, they have a chocolate mint flavor called Mint Summer Night's Dream that tastes just like Andes chocolate candies and was really nice. They only accept cash, but there is an ATM inside the store.

Cute spot. Disappointed they didn’t have lemon sorbet but it was plastered all over their signs. I e. Team was good but was missing that creamery taste.

i loved this ice cream but sadly so did a lot of people so there was often a small line. but for good reason, the staff, flavors, and prices are impeccable.

The staff were really cool. The ice cream has a very delicious flavor to it. They had peanut butter ice cream and peanut butter sauce....my favorite.

Great ice cream! A small cone was around four bucks. I had the black raspberry which was delicious! Take it outside to eat by the water.

They are keeping covid regulations and sanitation. Safe to get ice cream here.

Hours say open till 10! I’ve been coming here since I was a kid! Get here at 9:30 long line then they say they stoped taking orders at 9:45! It’s NOT good business! I won’t come back I will take my family to Lagos in Rye from now on!

Sit down or take-out ice cream shop on the Portsmouth waterfront. Large selection of flavors, fast, friendly courteous service. The line moves quickly.

Favorite ice cream spot, especially in the area. The inside could use a little work, but no deal breaker. The staff has always been friendly.
